Guillermo Espinasse

Painting Isla Mujeres


Born in Argentinga, Guillermo Espinasse started drawing, painting and playing music at the age of five. While still in high school, he won a grant to study art in Europe. He then completed his studies at the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in architecture. For three years, he was an assistant professor at the University, teache the history of architecture.
He was successfull as an associate and design consultant to several architectural firms, while also building a private client base in the visual arts and architectural renderings. During this time, he also began to work seriously in the fine arts, drawing and painting.
Feeling the need for a totally new life experience completely against his training and cultural conditioning, he left New York and began living on a sailboat that took him two years to restore. Since its restoration, his boat has been both his home and studio.
He has had numerous exhibits both in the United States and abroad.
